State COVID case update

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Monday reported 279 new cases of COVID-19.

The state reported 489 residents hospitalized, a decrease of 14 from Sunday, representing three straight weeks of declining numbers and the lowest number since August 1 of last year. Those in intensive care units numbered 75, unchanged from the previous day.

Clinton County reported no new cases, the total remaining at 9,026. Centre County added four new cases for a total of 35,048 and Lycoming County listed two new cases for a total of 28,372.

The state reported two new deaths as the Clinton County figure remained at 124.
