New coach and new scoreboard ticketed for Bucktail football this fall
FARWELL, PA – Berkshire Hathaway Energy has provided Bucktail High School with $18,000 towards a new scoreboard at Dwyer Memorial Stadium.
Berkshire Hathaway Energy Operations Manager Aaron Hughes recently presented a check in that amount to Keystone Central and Bucktail officials, along with a contingent of Buck players. The new scoreboard is on hand and will be erected before the start of the fall season.
District Superintendent Jacquelyn Martin thanked Berkshire Hathaway for “their generous donation” at the presentation event.
Bucktail is also due a new football coach for the upcoming season. This Thursday’s Keystone Central school board meeting agenda includes the name of former Bucktail assistant coach Frank Sutliff as the new head coach.
Sutliff will replace Jared Hurlbert who stepped down after the 2021 season after three years as head coach, compiling a record of 3-22, including an 0-9 mark last season.
