State COVID case update

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Wednesday reported 5,422 new cases of COVID-19.

The state reported 3,324 residents hospitalized, a decrease of 17 from Tuesday and the lowest number since Nov. 22.

Clinton County reported 38 new cases for a total of 8,753, the highest one-day amount since 38 were recorded on Feb. 3. Centre County added 77 cases for a total of 33,998 and Lycoming County listed 58 new cases for a total of 27,655. .

The death count in Clinton County increased by one to 120 while 116 new deaths were reported statewide.
