Lady Wildcats a winner on Senior Night
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – The Central Mountain girls’ basketball team made Tuesday’s Senior Night a special one, defeating visiting Danville by a 40-24 score.
Coach Scott Baker’s team used a solid second half to down visiting Danville. After holding a slim 15-14 halftime advantage, CM attacked the paint in the second half and was able to put some distance between themselves and their opponents. Equally important for CM was the solid charity strip effort from senior point guard Mia Kopysciansky that thwarted any comeback attempt by the Lady Ironmen.
With the win CM upped its overall record to 7-12 on the season with three to play, each at home; next up is Midd-West (0-18) Friday night. Danville fell to 4-16 with the loss.
