State COVID hospitalizations continue drop

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Friday reported 7,091 new cases.

The state reported 3,968 residents hospitalized, a decrease of 160 from Thursday and the smallest amount since Dec. 3 of last year. 654 state residents were reported in intensive care units, down 30 from the previous day.

Clinton County reported 32 new cases for a total of 8,647. In Centre County 85 new cases were recorded for a total of 33,689. Lycoming County added 159 new cases for a total of 27,374.

The death count in Clinton County remained at 117 while 160 new deaths were reported statewide.
