State COVID cases show increase
HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Wednesday reported 12,248 new COVID-19 cases, the third day in a row the case count has increased.
The state reported 5,789 residents hospitalized, a drop of 273 from Tuesday, the lowest amount since Jan. 4. 939 state residents were reported in intensive care units, unchanged from the previous day. .
Clinton County reported 63 new cases for a total of 8,297; the case count is the highest since Sunday’s 67. In Centre County 134 new cases were recorded for a total of 32,541. Lycoming County added 189 new cases for a total of 26,279.
The death count in Clinton County remained at 117 and 183 new deaths were reported statewide.
