State COVID update

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Thursday reported 7,358 new COVID-19 cases. That marks three days in a row new cases have numbered over 7,000.

The Daily Item newspaper reported Thursday that there are 52 active COVID cases at the Allenwood federal penitentiary, including 34 new cases since Wednesday.

Clinton County reported 21 new cases for a total of 6,461 cases. In Centre County 98 new cases were recorded for a total of 24,213. Lycoming County added 76 new cases for a total of 20,850.

The state Thursday reported 105 new deaths. The death count in Clinton County increased by one to 99.
