Thief hits tree service company trucks at Lamar I-80 exit
LAMAR, PA – State police say two trucks from Asplundh Tree Service had $4,550 in gear removed while parked at the Flying J Travel Center along Nittany Valley Drive near the Lamar Exit of Interstate 80.
The trucks had been parked last Wednesday evening and when employees arrived back at 7 a.m. on Thursday, they discovered two trucks had been broken into and items taken. Items stolen include a Husqvarna chainsaw, two Stihl chainsaws and three sets of Buckingham climbing gear with spikes and ropes.
Police said video surveillance is being downloaded from the travel center. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police. Victims were listed as Garrett Maines of Woodland and Asplundh Tree Service of Willow Grove.
