State COVID case update

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Saturday reported 11,052 new COVID-19 cases. That is the second day in a row with statewide cases over the 11,000 figure, part of a recent uptick in cases.

Hospitalizations across the state totaled 4,505, up three from Friday, while those in intensive care units numbered 964, up 24 from Friday.

Clinton County reported 22 new cases for a total of 6,349 cases. In Centre County 77 new cases were recorded for a total of 23,809. Lycoming County added 89 new cases for a total of 20,546.

The state Saturday reported 156 new deaths, the most statewide in more than a month. The death count in Clinton County increased by one to 97. .
