County-owned Peale Avenue Bridge now open
MILL HALL, PA – The Peale Avenue Bridge over Fishing Creek in Mill Hall is open to traffic. A detour had been in place for over the warm weather months as the bridge was rebuilt.
The bridge connecting Water Street to Pennsylvania Avenue is owned by Clinton County but PennDOT is coordinating the project near the Mill Hall Fire Company building. The nearly $1.3 million project is being funded 80% by a federal grant, a state grant covering 15% and Clinton County 5%. The county money had been set aside a few years ago.
County officials said the work is not completely done as there are some finishing elements that will be added next year, such as new paving and an epoxy overlay, which can’t be done until May of 2022.
