State COVID cases drop; hospitalizations up
HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Sunday reported 4,160 new COVID-19 cases, the first time in nearly two weeks the number has dropped below 5,000.
3,593 COVID patients are hospitalized in the state, up 45 from Saturday and again the highest number since last spring. Those in intensive care on Sunday numbered 816, up 10 from Saturday.
Clinton County reported 22 new cases for a total of 5,966. In Centre County 82 new cases were recorded for a total of 22,664. Lycoming County added 59 new cases for a total of 19,284.
The state Sunday reported 32 new deaths. The death count in Clinton County remained unchanged at 88.
