State COVID cases stay up
HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Tuesday reported 5,186 new COVID-19 cases, the eighth day in a row the case number has remained above 5,000.
3,349 COVID patients are hospitalized in the state, up 149 from Monday and again the highest number since last spring. Those in intensive care on Tuesday numbered 763, up12 from Monday.
Clinton County reported 20 new cases for a total of 5,844. In Centre County 61 new cases were recorded for a total of 22,296. Lycoming County added 45 new cases for a total of 18,844.
The state Tuesday reported 72 new deaths. The death count in Clinton County remained at 86.
