Blanchard woman bilked out of $9,000
LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, PA – Rockview state police say a Blanchard woman is out $9,000, the result of a scam involving Lowes gift cards in that amount.
Police said the incident occurred on Nov. 15 and the victim was a 72-year-old female from Beach Street in Blanchard. Police did not list her identity.
According to the police report, the woman was deceived into providing the suspect(s) with the codes for $9,000 in gift cards. Police said Lowes loss prevention unit has been contacted in an attempt to identify a suspect and the investigation is ongoing; meanwhile the woman is out $9,000.
