COVID cases jump in Lycoming County
HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Thursday reported 4,892 new COVID-19 cases statewide.
The state said there are 2,795 hospitalized patients due to COVID-19, down 48 from Wednesday. Of those hospitalized 694 are in intensive care units, up 13 from Wednesday; 379 reported on ventilators, up three from the previous day.
In Clinton County 25 new cases were reported on Thursday, bringing the total to 4,345. Centre County saw an increase of 33 on Thursday to 19,320, while Lycoming County increased by 112 to 14,423. The Lycoming one-day figure is the highest since in the spring.
77 new deaths were reported by the state; the death count in Clinton County remained at 71.
