Susque-View Home reports some visitations now allowed

LOCK HAVEN, PA – Clinton County’s Susque-View had some good news Monday relative to COVID-19 testing and visitation: While earlier this month the county-owned home had to curtail outside visits due to new cases of COVID, better test results (no new cases) mean face-to-face visits may resume in some units effective as of Monday.
Home Administrator Jamie Aurand posted word on the home’s Facebook site on Monday:
A message from our Administrator: September 20, 2021
We are happy to report that all the results from the testing last week were negative. We are able to reopen Units 3 and 4 at this time for face to face visits. In addition, the residents on those units will be able to enjoy group activities, dining, and the beauty shop. Because Unit 2 had a higher risk of exposure from those that tested positive, that unit will need to quarantine for at least 14 days. If there are no other positive tests Unit 2 may reopen Thursday.
According to the guidelines for outbreak testing we need to get through 14 days with no positive tests. Therefore, we are testing all residents and staff again today and Thursday.
If your loved one is on Units 3 or 4, please call 570-893-5941 if you would like to schedule a visit.
Due to the continued high level of COVID-19 in the community, we strongly recommend that residents do not go out of the building with family members at this time.
If you have any questions or concerns please email us at WeCare@susqueviewhome.com. This email will be checked and responded to on weekdays. The Susque-View Home COVID-19 Hotline (570-893-5841) will be updated as new information becomes available.
We appreciate your continued support.
