COVID cases surge continues
HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Saturday reported 5,131 new COVID-19 cases across the state. That is the highest one-day figure since April 16.
In Clinton County 12 new cases were reported on Saturday, bringing the total to 4,009. Centre County saw an increase of 86 to 18,316, while Lycoming County increased by 63 to 13,131.
There are 2,196 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19 statewide, up 49 from Friday. Of that number, 518 patients are in the intensive care unit with COVID-19, a decrease of 17 from Friday. 279 were on ventilators, up 11 from the previous day. .
31 new deaths were reported by the state; the death count in Clinton County remained at 69 through Friday.
