Keystone Central Foundation seeks businesses to apply for state tax benefit program

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) offers businesses an opportunity to invest a portion of their tax dollars into innovative educational programs that directly benefit the students of Keystone Central School District.

The EITC provides companies with a 75% tax credit for donations to a non-profit educational improvement organization (EIO) like the Keystone Central Foundation. The tax credit increases to 90% if the company commits to making the same donations for two consecutive years.

The state Department of Community and Economic Development’s Tax Credit Division oversees the program and will begin the application process for new businesses on July 1, 2021.

Since the Keystone Central Foundation’s participation in 2018, approximately $60,000 has been donated by local businesses to help fund projects within the school district such as the CTC Aquaponics lab, Artists in Residency Programs, and This Day in History.
