Lady Bucks well represented on Mid-Penn All-Stars
WILLIAMSPORT, PA – Six Bucktail softball players have been accorded all-star honors on the recently announced Mid-Penn League all-conference team. The Bucktail and Sugar Valley baseball teams also had players earn all-star recognition.
First-team picks for the Lady Bucks are catcher Jordan Burrows, infielders Haley Burrows and Makenzie Wagner and utility player Emma Poorman. Second team selectees are infielder Julie Green and outfielder RaLeigh Isaacs; all six are underclassmen.
Montgomery’s Faith Persing was named the league MVP. Montgomery won the District 4 Class A title on Saturday by a 2-0 score over Northeast Bradford.
Bucktail had one pick on the Mid-Penn baseball all-star team, Kayden Friese accorded second team honors as an outfielder. Sugar Valley’s Corbin Homan was a first-team selection as an outfielder and the Phoenix’s Kadin Leigey made the second team as an infielder.
