Lindsay loses heartbreaker at states

HERSHEY, PA – Central Mountain freshman David Lindsay fell just short in the quarterfinals of the PIAA AAA tennis championship quarterfinals Friday night.
Lindsay lost in three sets in a marathon match against senior Vikas Miller of Lower Merion. The score was 3-6; 6-4; 7-5.
Wildcat tennis coach Pete Wert said, “He battled the entire time and his serve was only broken two times throughout the two and one half hour match. What an impressive season for David.”
The loss was the first of the season for Lindsay, who earlier this month became Central Mountain’s first District Six champion. Wert told therecord-online, “We were extremely pleased with his effort.”
In his first match at states on Friday, Lindsay defeated Andy Chen of Hershey, 6-3, 6-0. He finishes his first year of varsity play as one of the top eight in the state.
