Lady Wildcats shut out Mifflin County, 7-0
LEWISTOWN, PA – Central Mountain got seven innings of shutout ball from freshman Adalynn McKeague and earned a 7-0 win at Mifflin County (8-7) on Monday.
The victory puts Central Mountain at 14-3 with a home game scheduled for this Thursday with Milton. The Lady Wildcats expect to learn this week the District 6 postseason schedule where Bellefonte (14-1) is currently the top seed and Central Mountain number two.
McKeague struck out 14 Lady Huskies and walked one, giving up six hits. Meanwhile her teammates pounded out 10 hits. Alyssa Fisher had three of the 10 as she doubled twice, scored twice and drove in two runs; Riley Houser had three hits, including two doubles, and drove in a run. Base hits, one each, also came from Maggie Saar, Allison Lininger (a double), Caitlyn Watson (a doble) and Madison Hardy who slugged a home run.
