Bucktail softball downs SVRCS, 21-3

LOGANTON, PA – The Bucktail softball team used Thursday as a bounce-back. Shut out by Montgomery two days earlier, the Lady Bucks traveled to Loganton and downed Sugar Valley Rural Charter School by a 21-3 score in a 4-inning contest.

Bucktail scored in every inning, putting up 14 hits, aided by 11 walks, in moving to 9-4 on the season.

Jordan Burrows did the pitching duties for Bucktail, going all four innings, striking out four, walking six, allowing just two hits and three runs. She helped her cause at the plate with two singles and four RBIs.

Makenzie Wagner took over at shortstop and went 4-for-4 with four singles and three RBIs. Emma Poorman played second base and finished with a single, double and homerun in four at bats, driving in five runs. Haley Burrows and RaiLeigh Isaacs each had two singles and one and two runs batted in, respectively. Lily Francis had a single and an RBI

Next up for the Lady Bucks is a home game Monday with Sullivan County (3-9), first pitch 4:30 p.m. SVRCS is now 1-9 on the season.
