Renovo First United Presbyterian Church to Hold Last Service April 18

A church is more than just a place of worship. The people you attend church with become your family. The closeness of the people in church is a comfort knowing you’re not going to be judged, you’re not alone and others care about you. It is a place to pray together, share your views with faith and understanding and getting to know and understand the Bible in a simple way though discussions with others.

With less than five members remaining on the church roster, the First United Presbyterian Church is Renovo will be closing its doors; another loss for our small community.

Clerk of Session, Donna Long said “It is with great sadness that I have to report the closing of the First United Presbyterian Church.”

This month will mark the end to a long history that spans over 200 years of Presbyterians in the Renovo area.
Donna said the last service will be held on April 18, at 2:00 p.m. and that everyone is welcome to attend. Due to COVID-19 there will not be a reception following the service.
