Active shooting situation in Renovo; community placed on alert

RENOVO, PA – Authorities have issued an alert to Renovo area residents asking them to “shelter indoors” for an active shooter situation first reported around 8 a.m. Tuesday.

State police are reported at the Bucktail High School/Renovo Elementary complex in Farwell as a precaution. Police from all over central Pennsylvania were speeding to Renovo for “an active shooter” situation in the Ninth Street area around 8 a.m. Tuesday.

A Record employee who resides in South Renovo said she heard multiple gunshots. The incident was reported in the vicinity of the Renovo Disposal building but further details were not immediately available.
