Accused identified in Woodward Township Homicide
The office of Clinton County District Attorney Dave Strouse on Saturday provided additional information on the Friday night homicide in Woodward Township:
WOODWARD TOWNSHIP- Pennsylvania State Police have arrested Brian St. John, III, of Woodward Township, on charges of Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assault and Recklessly Endangering Another Person. State Police responded to a reported shooting at 330 Brewery Hollow Road at approximately 8:30 Friday evening. The victim, identified by State Police as 21-year-old Jakob Lee Haines of Beech Creek, was located at the residence having suffered a single fatal gunshot wound. St. John, 19, was arraigned Saturday morning by Magisterial District Judge Frank Mills, who ordered that the Defendant be denied bail pending preliminary hearing. The Defendant has been committed to the Clinton County Correctional Facility while he awaits his first court appearance which is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, March 2, at 8:30AM. The investigation remains ongoing and is being conducted by the Pennsylvania State Police Troop F Major Case Team.
