Bucktail’s Hanobic Court dedication set for Sunday; streamed live on therecord-online

The “Jack” Hanobic plaque

FARWELL, PA – A formal dedication program for the naming of the basketball court will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Dale Florey Gymnasium at Bucktail High School.

The court forever more will honor Frank “Jack” Hanobic, the school’s long time faculty member/athletic director.

The Keystone Central School Board last fall had approved naming the court “Jack Hanobic Court.” Funds to purchase the plaque were raised by local basketball officials who have worked with Hanobic over the years.

The dedication will be streamed live on therecord-online. Due to COVID-related safety concerns, the event is not open to the public. Participants will include Hanobic and his family, Keystone Central School District Superintendent Jacquelyn Martin and basketball officials who were involved in the fund-raising effort for the plaque.
