County Plans for Vaccine Availability
LOCK HAVEN, PA – When the vaccine for COVID-19 is available in Clinton County, the county will be prepared for the inoculation phase.
County commissioner Angela Harding, at the commissioners’ Thursday virtual meeting, provided an update on the most recent meeting of the county’s “Community Coalition” to monitor the COVID-19 status in the county. Her update on that group’s Wednesday meeting said the county department of emergency services is working with health care providers UPMC and Geisinger on a vaccination schedule. She said several sites in the county are under consideration.
Harding said the county is seeking additional information towards setting up that vaccine schedule. Fellow commissioner Jeff Snyder said he was to be involved in a conversation later Thursday with state Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine through the state Association of County Commissioners.
Harding said the community coalition reemphasized the need for masking in the community to “protect our most vulnerable.”
