Borowicz Sworn in for Second Term
HARRISBURG, PA – State House Rep. Stephanie Borowicz was sworn in Tuesday for a second term representing the 76th district. A photo of her swearing-in was posted on her facebook page and the posting said, “Today I was honored to take the oath of office to represent the 76th District for a second term.”
The district is comprised of all of Clinton County and the Centre County communities of Benner, Boggs, Burnside, Curtin, Haines, Howard, Liberty, Marion, Miles, Snow Shoe and Union townships and the boroughs of Howard, Milesburg, Snow Shoe and Unionville.
Borowicz is part of a record 73 elected females in the Legislature, 14 in the Senate and 59 in the House. She is the second woman to represent Clinton County in the House. Late Republican Ruth Donahue served three terms in Harrisburg, from 1955 through 1960.
When Borowicz won her first term in 2016, she ended a local Democratic run of 45 years in the House. The late Russ Letterman served from 1971 through 1990, followed by Mike Hanna from 1991 through his retirement at the end of 2016.
