Beatrice Jane Stickles – Obituary

ObitArtBeatrice Jane Stickles, 69, of 458 Pennsylvania Avenue, Renovo,, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Jersey Shore Hospital.

Born in Williamsport on December 1, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence J. “Pete” Gower and Frieda Irene Case.

After graduating from high school, Beatrice cooked in numerous restaurants in Baltimore, Maryland.

She married Wayne Milton Stickles on December 1, 1999 in Baltimore.

Beatrice attended Christian Community Church, South Renovo.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Ronald (Tia) Bean of East New Market, Maryland and Blaine Erb of Baltimore, Maryland; three daughters: Eva Secrist of Burnt Cabins, Helen Hughes of Philipsburg, and Angelia (Ronald) Smith of Mill Hall; a brother, Darrell Gower of Hawie; a sister, Donna Bell of Osceola Mills; a special lifetime friend, Gloria “Sis” Romesburg; ten grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Daniel and Dennis Gower.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Christian Community Church, 364 Susquehanna Avenue, Renovo with Pastor Calvin officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, to help with the funeral expenses.
