Participants in the 2020-2021 Leadership Clinton County class were busy and active on Sunday decorating the downtown for the holidays.

“Wow!” is all that I have to say after speaking with Downtown Lock Haven Manager Marie Vilello and City of Lock Haven Director of Community Life Kasey Campbell.

Historically known as Small Business Saturday, the day after Black Friday, takes on a whole new meaning this year when now more than ever our local retailers need our help.

A few weeks ago I wrote about a Renaissance in downtown Lock Haven. In the past two weeks, four stores held grand openings in the downtown area. They are: A Little Bird, The Skeleton Key, Momoyo Otsu, and Simone’s Bakery. While more are in the works and I am not at liberty to divulge those to the public just yet, our little corner of Clinton County has been seeing a major buzz in the small business opening and creation industry.

This Saturday, November 28 is Small Business Saturday.
“Each Saturday will have its own name and theme,” Downtown Lock Haven Manager Marie Vilello said in phone interviews this past week.
