Clinton County Official Vote Count Continues
LOCK HAVEN, PA – Clinton County voter registrar Maria Boileau told the county commissioners at their Monday work session that “everyone should be a little patient” as the official count from the Nov. 3 election continues.
Boileau said the election return board began working Friday morning and will resume Monday at 1 p.m. to verify the election results. The board of elections will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m., she said, as part of the effort to “make sure all records are counted accurately.”
The voter registrar told the commissioners the county voter turnout was 77.64 percent, consisting of 13,108 voters who went to the polls last Tuesday and another 4,274 (out of 5,202 requested) who returned their mail-in ballots.
Additionally, Boileau said, 35 mail-in ballots came in by mail over the three days after Nov. 3, 15 on Wednesday, 17 on Thursday and three on Friday. She said they are being kept segregated and counted separately; there has been no final determination from beyond the county as to the ultimate status of the late arriving ballots.
