Geisinger Lock Haven on Pace for Spring 2021 Opening
LOCK HAVEN, PA – One year after the groundbreaking, construction continues on pace for a spring 2021 opening for the Geisinger Medical Clinic at Spring and Fourth Streets in Lock Haven.
According to a Friday update provided therecord-online,Geisinger Medical Clinic Lock Haven remains on track for opening next year. The two-story medical clinic, more than 40,000 square feet, will include more than 50 exam rooms for a variety of medical specialties. These include adult and pediatric primary care offices, imaging and lab services, physical and occupational therapy and a specialty clinic with dermatology, cardiology, speech therapy, surgery, and women’s health services.
The building will also include a walk-in urgent care center and pharmacy.
The updated construction report says the roof is complete on the building and crews are finishing exterior work, including landscaping, sidewalks, and parking lot paving. Crews are also working inside and will be focusing on the interior construction over the winter.
In its update, Geisinger said the new medical clinic is part of a combined $100 million investment between Geisinger and Highmark Health to improve existing clinical facilities, develop new ones, expand services, and improve access to care across the region.
Geisinger in late 2018 had completed a $1.93 million purchase of the several connected third ward Lock Haven holdings as part of its plan to build the new health services clinic.
