Sheryl M. Dole – Obituary

Sheryl M. Dole, 51, of 2904 Rauchtown Road, Jersey Shore, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

She was born July 26, 1963 in York, the daughter of the late Curvin Paul Toomey and Patricia Esther Mundis Toomey, who survives in Haneyville. On Feb. 14, 2012 in Lock Haven, she married Marvin L. Dole, who survives.

Sheryl attended the Haneyville church. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards, attending yard sales, baking, and being outdoors. She loved cats and will be missed by her faithful companion, Sassy. Most of all, Sheryl cherished the time she spent with her family.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two daughters, Amber M. Jodun and Melanie A. Jodun, both at home; a step-daughter, Kelly L. Knepp of Jersey Shore; two sisters, Patricia A. (John) McCullough and Barbara E. (Ken) McCullough, both of Haneyville; two brothers, Paul A. Toomey and Tom G. (Cindy) Toomey, both of York; two step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Lee Toomey.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014 at noon at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, with Pastor Luke Shover officiating. Burial will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
