Lady ‘Cats Tennis Battle in D6 Doubles Tourney

ALTOONA – The Central Mountain girls’ tennis doubles teams competed in the District 6 AAA tournament at Mansion Park on Thursday.

In the first round, Kati Kwiatek and Ella Talbot were fell to Hollidaysburg’s No.1 team and No. 3 seed, Gretta Rhodes and Ella Jodon, 6-0, 6-2.

Carolina Carpenetti and Olivia Anastos teamed up for the Lady ‘Cats to defeat Shikellamy’s Anne Norris and Kelly Sprenkle, 6-0, 6-0.

Carolina Carpenetti and Olivia Anastos defeated Rachel Gallagher and Reagan McKee of Hollidaysburg, 7-5, 6-1 in the Quarter Final round.

In the Semi Finals, Carpenetti and Anastos lost to defending district champions Quiana Guo and Catelyn Janac of State College, 6-1, 6-2.

The Lady Wildcats will next compete in the District 6 AAA team tournament slated for Monday Oct. 5, 2020 in Altoona.
