Hazel L. Peters – Obituary
Hazel L. Peters, 91, of Flemington passed away Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Susque View Home, Lock Haven.
Born October 6, 1928, she was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Crider) Wolstencroft.
After graduating high school, she worked at Sylvania.
In 1947 she married John Jack Peters who preceded her in death on October 5, 1995.
Together with her husband, she started J.J. Peters Disposal Services in 1957.
Hazel was a member of Dunnstown United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed reading and doing puzzles. She also loved sports- whether attending her grandchildren’s games or watching events on television.
Surviving are two sons, Robert (Alicia) Peters of Mill Hall and Jerry (Diana) Peters of Lock Haven; a sister, Joan Winslow of Oregon; five grandchildren: Timothy Peters, Jennifer Peters Latsha, John Peters, Bruce Wayne Peters and Patrick Wayne Peters; ten great grandchildren: Colby, Elizabeth, Olivia, Emma, Catherine, Molly, Kyle Wayne, Haleigh, MacKenzie and Addison; and a great great grandson, Reid.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Wolstencroft and a sister, Doris Shearer.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 11 A.M. at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington with Pastor Jay Saldana officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 until 8 P.M.
