Virginia M. Mainguth – Obituary
Virginia M. Mainguth, 100, of South Renovo passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 at Bucktail Medical Center in South Renovo.
Born on February, 21, 1920 in Emporium, PA she was the daughter of Henry and Margaret (Sprung) Letourneau. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill who passed away on September 21, 2005 after 63 years of marriage.
Virginia graduated from Renovo High School in 1938. She was a lifelong member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a lifelong member of the Catholic Daughters of America where she held many offices over the years.
She enjoyed Bingo and crafts, especially sewing.
Virginia is survived by her two children, William (Marcie) Mainguth, Jr. of South Renovo and Rose Marie (Robert) Herman of Florida; four grandchildren, Scott (Christine) Herman of Clifton Park, NY, Kelly Ann (Eric) Burger of Baldwinsville, NY, Stephen Mainguth and companion, Barbara Bueno of Renovo, and Marissa (Jason) Bassaro of Indiana, PA; three great-grandchildren, Alec and Kelcy Ann Hoffman, and William Bassaro; three great-great grandchildren, Jameson, Damien, and Walker; and a special cousin, Nora Ruth Letourneau.
A visitation for friends and family will be from 11:30 a.m.to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 5th St. in Renovo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Renovo with Rev. Joseph Orr as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Hyner.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church Improvement Fund, the Altar and Rosary Society, or the Catholic Daughters of America.
