LOCK HAVEN – Kick Trax will return to the stage at the 2020 Summer Concert Series on Friday, Aug. 14 at the Grove & Main Street Stage in Lock Haven, beginning at 6 p.m.

Lou Mauro has been playing drums and singing for quite a while. At the age of 8 he was taking lessons at D. S. Andrews Music Store on 4th Street in Williamsport. As Mauro explains “My teacher was Dutch Leighman. I still remember my mom taking me on Saturday afternoons. As I progressed, I didn’t realize why my teacher moved me to the last slot of the day. But at the end of every lesson he would uncover his marimba and ask me to play a shuffle. I realized then how much fun it was at an early age to “make music” rather than just play my instrument.”

“I have always had a lot of fun putting everything together for the show and I am quite pleased with the results. From clubs and private parties to weddings or special occasions, if you enjoy it one tenth as much as me you will be having fun.” The public is invited to attend this free summer concert. Seating will not be provided; therefore, the public is asked to bring a lawn chair.

While the committee is excited to offer these free concerts this summer, residents should remain vigilant to the threat of COVID-19 which has claimed the lives of more than 160,000 Americans and more than7,000 Pennsylvanians including five in Clinton County. In order to successfully continue the summer concert series, residents and guests are to follow CDC and DOH guidelines in order to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19 including social distancing between non-household members while attending the concert, wearing masks, and sanitizing hands frequently. To that end, the city will provide hand-washing stations at each of the summer concerts. Anyone who is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or is included in a higher risk population are encouraged to keep their health and the health of their fellow residents as their primary interest and not attend.
