Common Sense for District 76

Editor:

Many people are frustrated with government in Harrisburg, for many reasons.  Remember to vote in November to have your input heard! Consider voting for Joe Waltz.

Recently, while I was phone banking for Joe, a gentleman asked me if he was running as a Republican or Democrat.  I answered that Joe was running as a concerned citizen of District 76, on the Democratic ticket.  He cried, “Oh, no, then he’ll be a gun-grabber.”  I hadn’t heard that term before, but understood this issue was very important to him, so I replied that Joe wholeheartedly supports the 2nd amendment and believes law-abiding citizens have the right to own legal guns.

In these troubled, troubled times, perhaps we should all look past labels to people.  Joe is a hard, hard worker.  When I’ve met him, he’s listening to or studying District 76.  It’s in his bones to help people.

Joe is a local—he was raised on a farm in neighboring Lycoming County, taught at Central Mountain HS for decades and has served in many regional organizations:  Lock Haven City Planning Commission, PIAA and Kiwanis to name a few.  Joe understands public service and representative government.

If you want to know more about Mr. Joe Waltz, see his website (electjoewaltz.com) to find out about his ideas to help District 76’s agriculture, economy, education, energy, environment, health care, infrastructure and veteran’s services.  At the site, you’ll find info about his upcoming “Cup of Joe” Town Hall, Thursday 8/6 from 7-8pm.  Or drop by Clinton County Democratic Headquarters (108 Bellefonte Ave. in Lock Haven) most Tuesdays from 10-noon to meet him.  Vote for Joe!
