Roxy Theater Announces Shutdown

Staff members at the Roxy Theater were at work in June preparing for the reopening of the longtime Lock Haven landmark. The Roxy had been closed since March when the coronavirus pandemic first hit. With this week’s closure announcement, it is unknown when the theater will next reopen.

LOCK HAVEN – The Roxy Theater, a longtime downtown Lock Haven anchor, announced on Tuesday it will be closing its doors for an “undetermined amount of time.” The theater blamed the lack of new movies and seating restrictions for the closure.

The announcement was posted on the Roxy’s Facebook page.

We are Sorry to Announce That Due to lack of new content and limited seating the Roxy Theater is not able to remain open.
With that said we will be closing Friday July 31st for a undetermined amount of time.
