Heritage Park Committee Planning Fundraiser

RENOVO – The Greater Renovo Area Heritage Park Committee is planning a “Mixer” fundraiser for Saturday, September 20. The mixer will be held at the Sons of Italy Lodge on 12th Street in Renovo from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The evening will include a 50/50 drawing, a surprise or two and door prizes. Entertainment will be provided by Bud & The Dynamics. Light refreshments will be served and there will be a cash bar.

The mixer is being held to raise funds to continue the renovation of the Heritage Headquarters at 530 Erie Avenue. The building is one of Renovo’s oldest structures. Many older residents remember it as Bruno’s shoe store.

The Heritage Committee has been working for many years to rescue and prevent the property from becoming another empty lot. The committee now needs to put heat in the building and needs to raise the money to purchase an energy efficient heating system.
