Mid-State COVID-19 Cases: Clinton Stays at 48, Centre to 138, Lyco to 155

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Health, in its Friday update, confirmed as of 12 p.m., May 22, that there are an additional 866 positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 66.258. The department also reported a new death total of 4,984, an increase of 115 from Thursday.

Clinton County cases stayed at 48, Centre County up two to 138 and Lycoming County up three to 155. Other counties adjoining Clinton: Clearfield, 33; Cameron, 2; Potter, 4; and Union, 61, all unchanged over the last 24 hours.

Gov. Wolf is expected to announce later on Friday which Pennsylvania counties will be elevated from the yellow to green status. Clinton, Centre and Lycoming are all currently designated yellow.

There are 312,743people who have tested negative statewide to date. That number is 474 in Clinton County.
