Minimal Hikes in Mid-State COVID-19 Cases: Clinton to 44, Centre to 131, Lyco to 147
HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Health, in its Sunday update, confirmed as of 12 p.m., May 17, that there are an additional 623 positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 62,234. The department also reported a new death total of 4,418, an increase of 15 from Saturday. Both sets of new figures saw the lowest number of increased cases in recent days.
Clinton County cases moved up one to 44, Centre County went up to to 131 and Lycoming County moved up one to 147. Other counties adjoining Clinton: Clearfield, 33; Cameron, 2; Potter, 4; and Union, up one to 47.
There are 270,670 people who have tested negative statewide to date. That number is 413 in Clinton County, slightly over one percent of the county population.
