Clinton COVID-19 Cases to 14; Centre County at 76; Lyco to 44

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Health, in its Thursday update, confirmed as of 12 p.m., April 23, that there are an additional 1,369 positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 37,053. The department also reported a new death total of 1,394, a considerable drop from the Wednesday figure of 1,622; there was no immediate word from the state as to why the number of death figure changed as it did.

Clinton County cases moved to 14; Lycoming moved up to 44; and Centre County remains at 76. Both Centre and Lycoming counties list two deaths each attributed to COVID-19. Other counties adjoining Clinton: Clearfield, 11; Cameron, 1; Potter, 4; and Union, at 30, all unchanged from Wednesday.

There are 142,061 people who have tested negative statewide to date.
