Clinton COVID-19 Cases Hold at Three; Centre County Goes to 55; State Deaths Jump
HARRISBURG – Tuesday coronavirus numbers from the state Health Department show that Clinton County continues to have three confirmed COVID-19 cases. The numbers remained fairly constant in north-central Pennsylvania, the exception Centre County which saw an increase of 11, from 44 on Monday, to 55 on Tuesday. Other mid-state counties remained for the most part stable, with Lycoming County up two to 12.
Other counties adjacent to Clinton are: Potter, 3; Clearfield, 7; Cameron, 1; and Union 7. All those numbers are unchanged from Monday, except for Union, which increased by one case. The last two state counties without a case have lost that designation; Elk County now reports two and Jefferson County, one.
Statewide, the number of cases increased by 1,579 to 14,559. Deaths attributed to the virus moved from 162 to 240, an increase of 78, the most in one day in Pennsylvania. Statewide negative tests amount to 76.719.
