Clinton County Has First Confirmed Coronavirus; State Death Total at 102
HARRISBURG – Clinton County has its first confirmed case of coronavirus, according to information provided by the state on Friday. No other information is given by the state when listing updated daily totals by county.
Friday figures from the state Health Department show that the number of reported cases in the state jumped by 1,404 from yesterday, the biggest increase yet, for a statewide total of 8,420. 102 deaths have been attributed to the virus, an increase of 12 from Thursday. The state said 53,695 tests statewide came back negative.
Updated county totals from the mid-state: Clinton, 1; Lycoming, 8 (up one from Thursday); Centre, 32 (an increase of four from Thursday); Potter, 2; Clearfield, 5; Cameron, 1; and Union, 3 (an increase of one).
Only counties with no reported cases to date are Sullivan, Jefferson, Elk and Fulton.
