STATE COLLEGE – The National Weather Service has issued this Tuesday afternoon advisory:

Issued by: State College – PA, US, National Weather Service,
FAST MOVING BANDS OF HEAVY SNOW WILL BE OVER PORTIONS OF CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA THIS AFTERNOON. MOST OF THE HEAVIER SNOW WILL BE FROM NEAR INTERSTATE 80 SOUTHWARD TO THE MARYLAND BORDER, AND WEST OF A LOCK HAVEN, NEWPORT LINE. WHILE TEMPERATURES WERE AT OR JUST ABOVE FREEZING, THE SNOW WILL COME DOWN HARD AT TIMES THROUGH 230 PM AND ROADS COULD BECOME QUICKLY SNOW COVERED. PERSONS TRAVELING THIS AFTERNOON SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR A WIDE RANGE OF CONDITIONS AND SLOW DOWN IN AREAS OF ADVERSE WEATHER.
