CM Middle School Principal Gets “Waxed” for Mini-THON Effort

Central Mountain Middle School Principal Dave Peters gets his Mohawk haircut.

MILL HALL – The Central Mountain Middle School held its annual Reindeer Games on Friday, students participating in a variety of games and activities throughout the last day of school before holiday break.

This year’s games also included a fundraiser for the Mini-THON Club. CMMS students raised money to fight childhood cancer.

The funds raised will go to the end of the year THON and be donated to the Four Diamond THON to help the fight against childhood cancer. Dave Peters, CMMS principal, agreed to wax his arms and legs and get a mohawk if the students raised enough money. The students raised $2,000 and Principal Peters entertained all with a waxing and a Mohawk at a school-wide assembly.

The middle school is in its fifth year participating in the THON program. Last school year more than $34,000 was raised.
