Arrest Made in Dunnstown MinitMart Armed Robbery
DUNNSTOWN –Woodward Township police on Wednesday announced an arrest in the March 21 armed robbery at the Nittany MinitMart, 25 Woodward Avenue.
Township police identified the accused as Holden Michel Hastings, 19, most recently incarcerated at the State Correctional Institution at Pine Grove. Police said the arrest came on Wednesday after a lengthy investigation.
Authorities charged Hastings with two counts of robbery, one count of theft by unlawful taking and one count of receiving stolen property. Police said Hastings, in prison in Pine Grove on unrelated charges, was arrested and placed in the Clinton County Correctional Facility. Bail was set at $5,000 by District Judge John Maggs.
Police in March had said an armed intruder entered the convenience store at 10:05 at night and “held the clerk at gunpoint while demanding money from the cash register.” He departed the store, police said, and fled towards the Constitution Bridge, leaving with an undetermined amount of money.
