A Veggie diet? …

Rumor has it, not a clue if it’s true but we’re hearing that someone has been stealing veggies from people’s gardens in South Renovo. The veggie bandit or bandits must have a penchant for a plant based diet. One gardener had all his tomatoes and squash taken.

A Chapman Bash …

Come join the celebration … Chapman is celebrating its 195th anniversary with a community picnic this Saturday, July 26 at 3 p.m. at Keller and Darby Memorial Park between the township building and Chapman Fire Company. The picnic includes a potluck feast featuring delicious food, live music from Bud & The Dynamics, Clyde Peeling’s Reptile Land, and games. Call 570-923-2044 for more information.

Belly Dancing Anyone? …

A free week long summer camp for women impacted by cancer, either themselves or friends and relatives, will be held at Yesterdays from July 28 to Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The camp includes meaningful and fun activities such as yoga, belly dancing, Tai Chi, workshops, scrapbooking, meditation, music and more. For more information and to register call Colleen Maher at 215-596-7342 by July 18. This is the second year Colleen – the former Colleen Smith, daughter of the late Bert and Lavonne Smith. Colleen grew up in Renovo and went to school here. The camp is not limited to Renovo women; it is open to any woman in Clinton County.

Rumor has it …

Rumor has it, not a clue if it’s true, but we’re hearing Renovo might be receiving grant monies that would to fund redoing the borough streets. That would be good news. In recent weeks area citizens have been purchasing the materials for filling the pot holes on many of the streets. YBC in Renovo also provided some of the material to fix the pot holes. If the borough gets the money rumored, travel would be a lot smoother in Renovo.
