City Seeks Triangle Park Christmas Tree
LOCK HAVEN – The City of Lock Haven, in partnership with Downtown Lock Haven, Inc. is asking the public for help once again to find the perfect Christmas Tree! Last year, a tree was generously donated by Dr. Erin Kennedy, a professor at Lock Haven University. The tradition of donating a tree for Triangle Park goes back many years, and often times the tree is donated in memory or honor of someone special. The tree also plays a special role in Downtown Lock Haven, Inc.’s Haven Holidays, the weekend-long event held to kick-off the holiday season. This year, the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held immediately following the Christmas Parade on Nov. 30.
The city is seeking a pine tree that has a minimum height of 20 feet, to be adorned with new lights, and displayed in Triangle Park the month of December. Any resident who would like to donate a tree can contact the Director of Community Life, Kasey Campbell at 570-893-5612.
