Paul R. Embick – Obituary

Paul R. Embick, 83 of South Renovo passed away October 14, 2019 at UPMC Williamsport Hospital with his family by his side.  He was born in Loganton to Elmer and Alverta Embick on July 11, 1936.

Paul was married to his loving wife, Margaret (Peggy) Nihart, on September 3, 1966 who preceded him in death on February 8, 2014.  He is survived by two sons, Jay (Linda) Embick, CT, and Jeff (Tracy) Embick, North Bend; one daughter, Joy Embick, Renovo; three grandsons, Andrew (Katheryn) Smith, FL, Ray and Ryan Embick, Renovo; three granddaughters, Renee Embick, Renovo, Nicole and Mya Embick, North Bend; one step-granddaughter, Jessica Liffers, Lewistown; one great-granddaughter, Liliana Smith, FL; a brother/sister-in-law, Chuck and Kelly Nihart, Hyner; and several nieces and nephews.

Paul worked at Piper Aircraft, Chem Con and retired from Lock Haven International Paper in 1999.  He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  Paul loved fishing, hunting, camping, taking rides and playing cards and he loved to make people laugh.

Along with his wife, Paul was preceded in death by two brothers, Levi and Ralph; two sisters, Hazel and Wanda; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, October 21, 2019, at the St. Joseph Cemetery chapel in Hyner with Martha Sykes officiating. Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, in Renovo is in charge of arrangements.
